A personal note from Dayna…
It is my hearts desire to share practical and life changing truth with people about what Christianity offers them.
I tried for most of my life to be a good person and do right things. But, as I grew up, I soon found I wasn't able to be "good enough" and constantly came up short in many areas of life. As an adult, I came to a breaking point that my life had a huge hole in it and nothing I was doing was filling it up. I reached out to a close family member and received unconditional love and acceptance. She also offered me the hope I was needing, through an "intensive counseling" of 3 days and on going discipleship training. This was the best gift I had ever received! So much so, that I knew that I wanted to begin sharing with others what had so dramatically changed my whole life.
Open Door Access came from the following two scriptures:
through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.
And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ…
I have a specific way of mentoring that brings us together for 4 meetings. This doesn’t take the place of counseling, but does help to set a good foundation for anyone that struggles in their life, by not knowing what the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit offer Christians in day to day experience.
WHERE DO WE BEGIN?
At our First Initial Meeting: Taking a Detailed Personal History. This is helpful for identify belief systems, we may live out of. Having helpful and specific questions asked in a safe environment can help to clarify and identify why we feel, think and choose, what we do to try to make our life work. I’ve heard some people say that the feel like they are on a treadmill going no where, but have no idea how to get off of it. The Detailed Personal History will be used in Class #2. It’s a very practical tool when applied to real life needs.
Second Meeting/Class 1 - How am I made in God's image? This is rarely a question that has a solid answer to it, at lease, that is what I have found in many Christian teachings. When I was asked this question, I really had no clear answer, maybe you are like I was. We will spend time in the Bible looking at the answer together to this question. It really does open the door wide open to a whole new life when we see and know what the answer is.
Third Meeting/Class 2 - The Exchange! If you think you are always trying to not be bad and be more good, like I spent most of my Christian life, this class will help change your whole way of approaching life’s challenges and decisions. Our old way of life of Good and Evil was never the answer to truly living in freedom. We need a whole new Way of Life and that why I believe this class is so necessary! Many Christians are running in circles trying and trying, but that was NEVER God’s intention. His path is straight and very intentional with a wonderful ending, but more than that, a satifying life can be lived on the way home to heaven.
Fourth Meeting/Class 3 - What happened at the cross for me? and what’s after? For us as Christians, Victory was accomplished for us! This class concludes with the teaching of how to live from a Victory Already Won. No more trying! We need Empowerment that can only come from the Lord Jesus Himself, through the power of the Holy Spirit.
